Our core promise: we never train AI on your documents
Your estimates and contracts are yours. ClearBid does not use your uploaded documents, extracted data, or analysis results to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model — ours or a third party's. Your document is processed only to produce your analysis, then it's done its job.
What we collect
- The document you upload (a PDF or image of an estimate/contract) and the project state you select.
- Extracted details our analysis produces (line items, totals, terms, red flags, jargon).
- Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Your email if you complete a purchase, so we can send your receipt and report.
How we use your document
We send the document to OpenAI's GPT-4o vision model solely to read and structure its contents. The red-flag analysis itself is produced by our own deterministic rule engine. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or model training.
Third parties we rely on
- OpenAI (GPT-4o): reads your document. Processed via API; not used to train their models.
- Stripe: processes the $19 Signing Report payment securely.
- Resend: delivers your receipt and report emails.
Data retention
We store your analysis so you can return to it via your report link. You can request deletion of your document and analysis at any time by contacting us.
